EthicalFin Appoints Christian Polman as Managing Director, Strengthening Its Leadership in Impact Investment Advisory

London, UK, 2 December 2025

EthicalFin is delighted to announce the appointment of Christian Polman as Managing Director, and him becoming a shareholder, following over a year of successful collaboration as a consultant and advisor. This milestone reflects EthicalFin’s continued growth as a leading impact investment advisory boutique, committed to mobilising capital for positive change and advancing values-based investing across sectors and geographies.

Christian’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for EthicalFin as the firm continues to expand its capabilities in supporting founders, enhancing its investor network — particularly with Family Offices and Next-Gen impact investors — and building its syndicated investment offering to connect capital with purpose.

In his new role, Christian will also leverage his extensive marketing and strategic background to further strengthen EthicalFin’s thought leadership and its advisory services aimed at improving its clients’ positioning in the evolving impact investment landscape. His work will focus on helping purpose-driven entrepreneurs and fund managers navigate growth, access capital, and communicate their impact stories effectively.

Christian brings a unique mix of experience across strategic consultancy, leadership, and impact investing — including his own impact investment portfolio, service on his family’s Family Office Investment Committee, and as Chair of an Impact Licensing Initiative taskforce. His international network and experience across Europe, the US, and APAC, combined with his passion for aligning values and capital, has already proven invaluable in advancing EthicalFin’s mission.

Christian Polman commented:

“I’m honoured to step into the role of Managing Director at EthicalFin and to continue building on the incredible foundation we’ve created together. Over the past year, I’ve seen firsthand how EthicalFin’s values-led approach uniquely positions it to drive systemic change — linking investors and founders who share a vision for impact and returns. I’m excited to further grow our investor network, expand our syndicated investment platform, and support our clients in amplifying their stories and scaling their impact.”

Alessandro Mele, Founder of EthicalFin, added:

“Christian’s appointment as Managing Director is a natural evolution of our collaboration. He has been instrumental in expanding our reach and deepening our engagement with investors and founders alike. His strategic and marketing expertise, coupled with his commitment to purpose-led investing, strengthens EthicalFin’s position as a trusted partner in mobilising capital for impact. Together, we’re continuing to shape the next generation of ethical finance.”

EthicalFin remains steadfast in its mission to bring ethics back into finance, catalysing capital toward sustainable growth and supporting changemaker entrepreneurs with strategic and fundraising expertise. The firm continues to focus on high-impact sectors including clean energy, agri-food technologies and alternative proteins, sustainable health, education, and the future of work, connecting visionary founders with values-aligned investors — from impact VC funds and family offices to institutional investors.

The urgency for capital mobilisation has never been greater. The United Nations estimates a $5–7 trillion annual investment gap needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Yet, the impact investing market has surpassed $1.1 trillion globally, and continues to grow rapidly as investors seek to combine purpose and profit. With natural capital alone underpinning $44 trillion — over half of global GDP — the opportunities for long-term, values-aligned investment are immense.

We look forward to engaging with investors interested in unique impact opportunities, as well as founders of high-growth ventures and impact funds seeking values-aligned capital.
